Our Cacao Beans come from the Jembrana region of Bali, Indonesia – known as the island of the gods.

These special ceremonial beans have undergone fermentation and natural drying. No additional heat has been added to the beans which remain intact within the protective layer of the husk, unpeeled and whole.

The growing, harvesting, fermentation and natural drying are done by the indigenous Balinese farming communities in the Jembrana region, empowering them with an income while creating opportunities to honour the abundant jungles of their land.

These ceremonial beans can be used to honour an altar-space, can be peeled and eaten as a superfood, or can be peeled and ground into a paste for a sacred cacao ritual drink!
